Looking at the basics of lighting and create a skydome for the scene.
I created a geosphere, for the 3D models and used Mental Ray default lighting to a scene. And the
source of the light was not visible within the scene, so I created default sunlight as well for the scene. I had to add my own lighting to the scene. As soon as you add you own light, the default lighting is switched off. You can expect your scene to become darker after adding your first light. This is due to 3D Studio Max using two lights in its default
lighting. When you delete your last light from the scene, the default lighting will be turned on again.
It is worth noting that replicating the exact position of light sources in the real world in your scenes, will
not necessarily create the required effect. I ‘considered’ the position of actual light
sources in the real world, didn't restrict myself to them in order to achieve the desired
effect. Light areas often draw the attention of the viewer, while dark areas tend to fade
into the background.
